Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic acupuncture, also known as facial acupuncture or facial rejuvenation acupuncture, is a specialized branch of traditional acupuncture that focuses on improving the appearance of the skin and promoting overall facial rejuvenation. It is a non-surgical and drug free procedure that aims to reduce the signs of aging, enhance skin health, and bring about a more youthful and radiant complexion.
During a cosmetic acupuncture session, the acupuncturist inserts very fine needles into specific points on the face and on other parts of the body. These acupoints are chosen to improve blood circulation, stimulate collagen production, and promote the flow of energy (Qi) throughout the face and body. By doing so, the treatment may help to address various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, and uneven skin tone.
Cosmetic acupuncture is performed in conjunction with body acupuncture and various skincare practices, including lymphatic drainage massage, facial/head gua-sha, acupressure massage, and dietary recommendations, to enhance its effects.
